April favourites
April has felt a little heavy at times. Heartache is contagious it seems. Two of my friends have had romances end, and, as I often feel a little hopeless in love, it’s familiar ground, so I am right there with them.
Here are some things I have been throwing myself into in April that have been really helping.
This meditation – OK, so a little cheesy and not very cool but it’s actually so empowering and comforting to listen to if experiencing any sort of heartache or loss.
I have been trying to cold plunge semi regularly, this is a way I am finding I can get out of my mind and back to my body and heart. I have been for a few cold ocean dips and have also been doing sauna and cold plunging sessions at Inner Studio in Collingwood. It’ such a special space and going with a friend and getting brunch afterwards is just the best – I feel so relaxed for the rest of the day. I know it’s going to be my go to place in winter, they have a fire place and herbal tea on hand as well.
Yoga – They have yoga classes at Inner Studio as well, otherwise I have really enjoyed the classes I have taken at Good Vibes and Shared Space. Also loving doing Melissa Woods for when I want to move my body at home (she’s just such a babe).
I am also slightly obsessed with Robert Greene TikTok/Instagram clips, he really studies human nature and his bite size pieces of wisdom are so fun and interesting.
